AI Audio Cleanup: What It Can and Cannot Fix

Diagnose noise, echo, clipping, overlap, distance, missing speech, and inconsistent technique before choosing re-recording, conventional editing, or AI cleanup.

AI cleanup can reduce steady noise and room distraction, but it cannot recreate evidence that was never captured or guarantee that repaired speech still sounds like the speaker. The first decision is not which model to run; it is whether the source is recoverable without changing meaning.
